The Woodside Way and Aloha Spirit

Baldwin High School in Maui sent a team ofeducators to visit Woodside High School in California to continue theirlearning about Student Voice & Aspirations implementation inthe high school setting. The Baldwin team left with a clearunderstanding of how Student Voice and the 8 Conditions are woven intothe culture and community, or what is called “The Woodside Way.” Theteam at Woodside shared that the visit was mutually beneficial as theyexperienced the collaborative Aloha Spirit of the Baldwin team and hadthe opportunity to reflect on their practice as they shared theirjourney with others. This experience was truly enriching for bothschools, as everyone benefits from the collaboration that ensues whenschools can meet and learn with educators from other locations who areworking towards the shared goals of amplifying Student Voice andsupporting all students in reaching their Aspirations.
