QISA's Project Aspire
Project Aspire is an exciting online educational experience that provides educators the opportunity to learn about, reflect on, and put into action the components of the Quaglia Institute's Aspirations and School Voice Frameworks.
The 2010-2014 Teacher Voice report indicates that the majority of staff believe Professional Development is an important part of their professional growth, and that learning can be fun. However, only 54% of teachers believe that the Professional Development offered in their district is meaningful -- many educators say they are asked to participate in professional development that has no relevance for them.
Project Aspire participants complete various results-oriented learning "quests" using a variety of media sources. Quests can be completed at the participant's own pace; some require working with students and others require collaboration with colleagues.
The Project Aspire experience:
- Is meaningful, engaging, and relevant to school staff
- Supports improvement to school culture
- Can be built into PLCs
- Can provide PD credits or certification hours*
For more information download the brochure here.* Districts can elect to provide professional development credits/hours corresponding to badges earned through Project Aspire.
